Barong and Keris Dance at Kesiman Village
The Barong Dance is a story about the struggle between good and evil. The good, by Barong Keket, a mythological beast with an immense coat of fur and gilded leather vestments and evil by the witch Rangda. The two characters engage in battle, at which point the Barong's keris-bearing followers rush in to attack Rangda. The hissing witch however, uses her magical powers to turn the keris knives in upon their owners, who subsequently fall into a trance and turn their knives upon themselves.
Mas Village is located about 15 km in the midway between Denpasar and Ubud with its popularity as the center of wood carving creations, craftsmanship, statues, etc. Each piece of wood carving made by expert carvers and sculpturers reflects and exudes the harmonic fusion between nature and human. The Palace looks elegant and majestic; we can see the hill wraps the entire neighborhood. Kintamani Volcano Mountain of Batur
Kintamani is a serene district with 5 volcanoes situated on a hill 1,460 meters above sea level; three of them are Mount Agung, Mount Kintamani, and Mount Batur.
